A Spanish web site has comments from Gibernau, taken from a Spanish radio interview, in which the Team Movistar rider hints at a possible absence from action at Round Two of the 2005 MotoGP World Championship.
Gibernau stated today, "At this moment my participation is doubtful. I have to see if I can be there to run".
The Catalan racer continued to explain that the clash of handlebars caused problems with his arm that is giving him great difficulty with regard to movement. "It hit my shoulder, it was a strong impact and I have the sinew a little affected. It is a little more serious than it first seemed, but in these two or three days we are trying to recover".
Gibernau, who lost out on the race win following the clash with the reigning world champion concluded, "We are making the best recovery that is possible to be one hundred percent, and right now, I cannot guarantee my participation".
A Spanish medical report circulating has the doctor treating Sete making the following statement.
