Plaidmann came from China 7 yrs ago to study,he'd love to get a bike but couldn't afford the driving lessons and insurance during university yrs together with a car.(Insurance was EUR 1600/year even for his crappy 2000 EUR car):-

5 yrs later he got a stable job and during a business roadtrip in Estonia, couple of BMW bikers from Germany asked about how to reach Finland, their joy and the exhaust note of the GS1250 ignited his passion once again.

He went to MP school in Espoo, practiced riding as the only foreigner in the group, and got the full license in the first try with his own bike(rode my honda to driving test and enjoyed teacher's shocking face:)

2020 saw the dropping of first bike CB500R(low speed manuver) within a week, plenty of fast riding with second bike MT-07 in Porkkala/Siuntio/Helsinki(even!) and finally another low-side accident in Nov joinging route 51 bridge from Porkkalankatu(oil/diesel).

Plaidmann was shocked, but walked away fine and determined to continue riding from next week:)

It was fun sometimes when people stared at me and thinking "there's no business for a Chinese guy riding fast on a motorcycle in Finland", but most other times Finnish bikers are extremely nice, helpful and loving to share their passions for motorcycle with a fellow biker, and for that I'm extremely grateful. Especially for the one biker that stopped his car on the route 51 bridge and helped me pushed the bike away to safety that night, I'd love to meet you one day, go for a ride and say thank you once again.

What is your experiences?

Thanks,
Plaidmann

Define "riding fast".

If that means riding +200 in 80 kmh zone in traffic then I agree, not even Chinese are allowed to do that.

And when wearing helmet nobody can tell the nationality of the biker, I think. Or?

But seriously, Havis wellcomes Plaidmann to finnish roads to enjoy nice scenery, calm atmosphere and peaceful traffic.

These are the mini "stoplight races" where I'd do power wheelie in Gear 1/2, beat the car driver and pop open the faceshield at the next stoplight, certainly would keep speed sensible when there's traffic around:)

Kiitos Havis!!
